Polling Units With No Registered Voters by INEC
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, said Monday during a meeting with political parties in Abuja that there are 240 polling units with no registered voters and where voting would not take place on the 25th of February and 11th of March.
Yakubu further stated that the country currently has a total of 176,606 polling units where the general election would be held.
Mahmood Yakubu said that voters assigned to new voting units would get text messages informing them of their new polling units before the general elections on February 25 and March 11, 2023.
The Chairman of the Electoral Commission stated that the commission has made it easier for voters to locate their polling locations before the election. All voters will need to do is submit text messages or WhatsApp messages to a specific phone number, which will then be posted to INEC's social media channels.
The electoral board also took advantage of the opportunity to assure Nigerians that the poll will not be postponed.

Meanwhile, Tweeps and Nigerians elsewhere are fuming with some asking INEC what happened to previous voters in the areas that have no polling units. Others have questioned the high number in certain sections of the country.
Here are some of the reactions:
I keep saying it and will not stop saying it that @inecnigeria is compromised and bought. Are you telling me they didn't register at all in those areas listed. The people that have PVC that voted in that area in 2015, what happened to them? Or @inecnigeria is saying they are dead

Borno and Kano are safer than Abia and imo, not surprised with the INEC because 90% of their staffs are northerners

Inec explain why the highest number of polling units listed here are in predominantly Christian regions and areas of supporters for Peter obi. Again, why is is there high numbers of listed polling units from the south east and south south?

Your write-up says 240 polling units, but I can see only 124 polling units in the list provided, what happened to the rest?

IMO STATE got 38. A whooping 38!

And South East 64. About 26.6% of the 6 geopolitical zones.
6-day sit@home 23-28Feb.
The elections are not happening in South East. She’s been technically disenfranchised…

First, did elections take place at these polling units in 2015 & 2019, if Yes...then you cannot say that there is "No registered voters" and then you cannot say "voting will not take place"!

Where there elections in these 240 polling units in 2015/2019 or are they new creations?
It's a lie ohhh
