"Ok oh,so you guys left your customers and tuk urselves out on a date, shutting down the entire network,no wahala. Please if your guys are in charge of the bvas uploading and posting of results next week..."

MTN Nigeria customers were trapped for many hours on Tuesday due to a lack of communication services.
The communication outage began in the afternoon and lasted for many hours, according to observers. Many MTN subscribers resorted to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the network outage.
Many others expressed concern about how their inability to phone, text, or use the Internet might impair their ability to contact their loved ones, especially since it was Valentine's Day.
Furthermore, for some, the network outage hampered their ability to transfer payments and pay for products and services. Nigerians have been forced to increasingly rely on Mobile Network Providers to facilitate money transfers because a Central Bank of Nigeria regulation drove numerous transactions online.
Many of the users who spoke with our correspondent voiced dissatisfaction with their inability to make phone calls or connect to the Internet. Many others said it had an impact on their job.
According to an MTN insider, the outage may have been caused by a fibre cut. The insider stated that network outages had occurred in Lagos and Abuja.
MTN issued an apology on its Twitter handle with accompanying reactions from affected users.
you guys(mtn) recently celebrated 10 trillion naira you made but you simple cannot provide the required services, not that we even bother to complain that you charge higher than other telecommunication.

No apology accepted without data and airtime compensation for the losses we incurred during your system downtime
