On Sunday, several of Hollywood's top talents were recognized at the 95th Academy Awards.
"Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" led this year's Oscars, taking home seven of the 11 categories it was nominated for, including best film and best director. The film's star, Michelle Yeoh, made history by becoming the first Asian woman to win an Oscar for best actress.
"This is proof that dreams... do come true," she stated as she accepted the award. "And women, don't ever allow anyone tell you that you're past your prime."
Cate Blanchett for "Tár," Ana de Armas for "Blonde," Andrea Riseborough for "To Leslie," and Michelle Williams for "The Fabelmans" were among the other nominees.
"All Quiet on the Western Front" went on to win four Academy Awards. "The Whale" won two Oscars, including best actor for Brendan Fraser.
During the night's show, all five of the best original song nominees were performed. Sofia Carson and Diane Warren performed "Applause" from "Tell It Like a Woman," Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava sang "Naatu Naatu" from "RRR," David Byrne, Son Lux, and Stephanie Hsu performed "This Is A Life" from "Everything Everywhere All at Once," Lady Gaga performed "Hold My Hand" from "Top Gun: Maverick," and Rihanna performed "Lift Me Up" from
The evening's "In Memoriam" performance was presented by Lenny Kravitz.
