There's a new America's Got Talent: All-Stars champion in town!
On Monday, America's Got Talent extension series winner was chosen by the superfans, and after weeks of great competition, the triumph went to self-taught aerialist Aidan Bryant.
"It's crazy. I've been working for this really hard and I just feel like it really paid off this time and I got to show a lot more," Bryant reportedly said to People. "I got to show a lot more dynamic skills that I haven't been able to, so I'm happy. It's a really big deal for me."
"The last time I was on, season 16, I didn't know what I was doing. I learned literally everything that you've seen in two years. I wasn't super confident with my choreography and music choice, but now that I came back on this season, I was just ready to get it," Bryant said.
"I was ready to prove to everyone that I can be number one as an aerialist because an aerialist has never won before, and I am super honoured to take that spot," Bryant added.
As fans know, Bryant initially competed on season 16 of AGT in 2021, when he ultimately fell short to magician Dustin Tavella - a moment he admitted "crushed" him. Bryant made it plain on his return to the AGT stage that he was not taking his second shot lightly.
"When I heard about All-Stars, I knew I had to take the chance. I cannot lose to [Tavella] again," Bryant stated in an All-Stars episode on Jan. 9 before receiving the superfan vote and a position in the finale.
Following that, the kid stunned judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum, as well as presenter Terry Crews, with a spectacular closing act.
The remaining finalists took the stage for final performances alongside guest singers Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Weezer, as well as other AGT winners Terry Fator, Mat Franco, and Lindsey Stirling, on Monday's program.
Crews then reduced the 11 finalists to the top five artists. Aside from Bryant, the coveted seats went dancing ensemble Light Balance Kids, saxophonist Avery Dixon, magician Aidan McCann, and ventriloquist Ana Maria Mărgean.
McCann finished fifth, Mărgean finished fourth, and Light Balance Kids finished third. With the competition down to Dixon and Bryant, Crews eventually declared that the 18-year-old aerialist had won.
