Breaking: Special Counsel Jack Smith's latest move may bring down US Senator Lindsey Graham.

...

According to new information, Special Counsel Jack Smith is looking into Senator Lindsey Graham's (R-SC) controversial phone calls to Georgia's Secretary of State after the 2020 election.

In September, a special grand jury in Georgia recommended that Graham and two other senators be indicted for attempting to overturn the state's election results. However, only Trump and six others were eventually charged.

Graham's conversations with GA Secretary Brad Raffensperger, in which he pressed him to toss legal ballots, have now come under scrutiny. Raffensperger then accused Graham of suggesting he find a way to discard legal votes.

According to sources, Smith is still investigating figures such as Graham who were involved in events surrounding January 6th. His limited initial indictments could be a strategy for obtaining cooperating witnesses against higher-profile targets such as the South Carolina Senator.

Legal experts warn that even though local prosecutors did not charge Graham, he could face federal charges from Smith's office. If Graham is indicted, it will most likely mark the end of his decades-long political career.

While no conclusions can be drawn at this time, the special counsel's continued focus on Graham suggests that he is preparing a case against the senator over his controversial post-election phone calls in Georgia. An indictment would be a significant turn for one of Trump's most ardent supporters.
